We can try but I have seen that it is not easy. I have tried calling a few friends but it is so hard to convince that the money is only going to help your cause. They will come up with every reason in the book to end the discussion. I am not saying that we should not try but you cannot help someone who doesn’t wants to get helped. We will need something more innovative. I don’t have the answer to what it can be but we have to keep on trying.

Thats good news. Hope it works. My feeling is that EB category will have more support in the Senate if they dont overdo the helpful provisions (read cap exempt etc..).
What is good about it. How will this decrease our current backlogs. This is an amendment to change the merit based system, not solve the current backlog problem.
We cannot judge at this point in time what the final bill is going to be like.
If the merit based system after passage of the bill seem more lucrative then many will re apply under this system and we come back to square one - i.e backlogs
We have to get out of the current problem which will solve a lot of problems.

Got it yesterday...
1 year EAD + validation from the date of approval, so basically lost 3 months of my current EAD.

I understand the need to gain grassroots strength, But at the same time I expect that IV core members to do better than arbitrary curt responses directing everyone to state chapter on this forum.
I am sure IV core do better, like for example, well crafted sticky memo explaining the need for state chapters/grassroots strength and dangers of remaining only an internet based group of anonymous members and why agenda of the IV will not be discussed or revealed in this forum. There was one good post explaining this.
Such a professional explanation is required to gain the respect of the newcomer on this forum and his views and at the same time promoting IV objectives.
IV and rest of us need each other to get this huge problem fixed.

Based on the labor approvals, I am expecting EB2 will touch 2007 in the next 3 to 5 visa bulletins.
I know you have been correct in the past but I think we have just gotten over the hump of 2003 and a small portion of 2004 for EB2. The majority of 2004 and early 2005 still remains. There was a huge jump in March 2005 to beat PERM. I dont understand how it will reach 2007

I have had no problems with them. I always got my emails/ calls answered from my attorney and paralegal in less than a day. They were always reachable. All my paperwork was filed per the timelines that were communicated to me. I could not ask for more. They were awesome

Great!
With this info, your attorney can easily demonstrate that you were authorized to work for "Employer 2" at all times since last entry in the USA until date of filing for I-485.
There is nothing to worry about, IMHO.

You cannot involve into unauthorized work like say your h1 expired with current employer and you did not update your I-9 form to use EAD and say 4 months down the road you put in the new I-9 form with EAD info. Those 4 months of work would be considered unauthorized and yes it will impact your I-485.

Employee of company A accepts an offer from another company B which promptly applies for a H1B transfer premium processing and its approved. Now the employee cannot join company B due to some problem and wants to remain with company A. Does company A need to apply for H1 transfer?
As I understand there will be no need to apply for the transfer again and the employee can continue working for company A. But the tricky part here is what if company B cancels the employees H1 visa seeing the employee did not join its workforce (considering that it just transferred it)?
Can some knowledgeable people please comment on the above scenario please.
Since you have not joined company B then why you worry whether they cancel H1b or not. As long as company A is having your H1b, nothing to worry & no need for reapplying for H1b transfer back to company A. There is no concept of H1b transfer, every company apply a new H1b when you join them and employer/employee relationship exist as long as they don't cancel H1b. Hope this helps.

It's 2018. Two indians, namely Ajay and Vijay meet in a grocery store aisle. Ajay inadvertently drops a carton of tea and Vijay try's to help pick it up. They exchange nicieties, shake hand and WHOA... Ajay noticed that Vijay's got a big EB2 tatto on his forearm...Without a moments delay, Ajay folds his sleeve and shows his own EB2 forearm tatto to Vijay. Ajay and Vijay become friends forever....
On the same evening.....Seeta and Geeta are shopping for tamarind in a nearby aisle....for some reason (I cant be more vivid than this) they notice eachothers tatto's; one has EB3 and one has EB2..........CATFIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Morale of the story : Lets stop the drama and get busy helping ourselves..if you want the above scenes not to translate to reality....
Can't we all just enjoy lessons taught to us by Bollywood......If you have hard time coming to terms with the above scenes , please close your eyes and go back 30 yrs into
indian cinema....

Based on the instruction of the paper file EAD, you can file your application based on the state you live in. it is either nebraska or texas.

Normally vendors dont like going against the client. Especially after you have billed for them for a year already. Unofficially they let you go after 1 yr i.e. the vendor. Try to talk to your client and see if they are willing to apply pressure on the vendor to let you go. Also talk to your vendor and explain to him why you want to join client i.e. career growth, etc and tell your vendor that you can help him/her recruit more folks to fill in your position and stuff. Basically you will have to do some brown nosing with the vendor for the time being.
If nothing else works, ask the vendor what would it take to make this work i.e. money wise and stuff if you are willing to pony up some dough to make this happen.

I also have a contractual obligation to my employer not to join the client for 12 months. My employer(Company A) is not willing to let me go (though I worked for a year already). Any advise from the forum?
