Which comes first.....card production ordered or approval sent? Are there cases when they don't update the status online with "approval sent" yet you have physically received the EAD cards. How long does it take to physically receive the cards from the date the status changed to card production ordered?

I applied an LC from an employer on March 27th 2005 (Pre-PERM)
It is shifted to P-BEC. I have not got any 45 day letter for that
How do I get the 45 day letter?

Hi
My h1b expires of 09/30/2010.
my drivers license expires on 5/31/2010.
I have ead that expires in jan 2011.
my h1b extension will be filed around june 2010.
can I use ead card to renew my drivers license till jan 2011.
around jan 2011 I could use extended h1b to renew my drivers license.
Can I do this. All I want to use my EAD card is for drivers license renewal.

Two friends of mine were in the same situation.
In both cases dependent children were approved first, then primary applicant
(in one case in a 6 month after his dependent)

My husband and I are in a big Dilemma whether to apply for EAD or AP? In the lawyer's note,it says that anyone who is I-140 Beneficiary will not be able to use EAD and AP. Is it true?
We are on our 3 years H1/H4 using I-140 benefits only. What should we do?
Please guide us.
We still have 3 years remaining. Problem - We both have no visa stamping after we got our extentions which why AP is required at this point?
Are there any travel restrictions after we file I-1485 with AP or WITHOUT AP.
Please highlight. Will be very useful for us.

- One would expect that they open the package and send it back with a letter stating a reason for refusal
- What evidence can an applicant present in such a situation that his package was attempted to be delivered? (no fedex tracking number or other such reference).

It seems USCIS has set a quota of �X� number of 485 applications till SEP �07.Once that quota reaches, dates will retrogress.
After that 485�s will be processed by PD and not by RD.

Last Friday was a depressing day for me. A businessman and his daughter visited me in my office. When I asked how they had learned about our law firm, they said a lot of flattering things about how "famous" we were and about our "great" website. I was in H1B visa(expires on Feb 2011). I got laid off from Employer_A from March 2009 and I transfered my I-797 to Employer_B in march 2009 itself through premium processing. It got approved and I have original approval notice also which expires on March 2012.
Now Employer_A likes to re-hire me back. I am also interested to go back. Do I need to transfer again from Employer_B to Employer_A?
Can I work for Employer_A with old I-797(expires on Feb 2011) ? I don't think Employer_A canceled or revoked my I-797 after they laid off.

This is the scenario:
1. Husband becomes a LPR this year.
2. Wife still undocumented.
3. Wife was working long time ago, but became a housewife for the past 6 years, so no work.
How would the wife adjust her status under the new CIR if she was not working for the past 6 years?
Would she have to wait until the husband is able to petition her through other regular means?
Any ideas or is it too early to tell how USCIS will issue it's regulations about CIR?

You should inform USCIS of the address change within 10 days. See AR-11 form on USCIS website for further details.
