Really nice shots. I particularly like the lower left sunrise(?), because of the sky and balance of land/water. I also like the lighting in the shot of the birds. Are those loons?

Multiple H1 Stamping
Hi guys
I have a query; I had applied for H1 visa (2007 � 2008) from 2 places
One from my current working company and another from consultancy firm in US. I got through the lottery from both the places. I have done my stamping for the visa from consulting firm.
Now my question is will I be allowed to go for stamping again :rolleyes:. What are my options now if I want my visa stamped from my current working company :confused:.

2011 I love my daddy Greeting

Folks, I'm in the current sitation. In 6th year of H1B, aplied for PERM labor pending with ATL processing center for >15 mtonhs. Attorneys are filing for 7th year extension. I need to traval in the next 2 weeks but not confident enough to get everything right, I need my visa stamped aswell, which with the current H1B validity, would be onlyuntil 22nd Oct 2009. I did try to convince my Managers that they file the extension under premium processing and I could get extended visa until Oct 2010, but Attorney advised that it is not necessary and I should be fine to go, get my visa stamped and come back.

2 points I'm concerned about are,
1. Since I have < 6 months validty on current H1B is it safe to travel and I would hopefully have my extsntion reciept number when I go for stamping.
2. Heard lot about denial of entry at POE, I'm trying to avoid certain airports that I has problems (JFK, EWR etc). Not sure I'm doing enough to be safe.

Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Doesn't matter if you only live in AZ or not! If you live in the Border Areas (North and South), or are traveling in those areas, it is better you carry it.

I never carry mine and do not intend to unless fit I the above case. I have memorized my A# and that of my spouse and am willing to go thro' to whatever rare hassle that I may face than losing my wallet and having to replace my GC for $370! Futher I do not want identity thieves getting another piece of info about me.

there are two choices for - I140 Filing Type
- Regular
- Premium

What is the difference b/w two. Can EB3 candidate file for I140 Filing Type in Premium category.

USCIS posted processing time as of Aug 31 2009.

They also updated information on their site about backlog.

USCIS: National Processing Volumes and Trends (http://dashboard.uscis.gov/) .

Backlog for I 485 pre adjudicated application went up by 20k. USCIS has mentioned few times that they will pre adjudicate all cases by Oct 2009. So we may see increase in those number till Oct 2009 posting. After that we will see reduction. How much reduction.. No one can guess. But definitely EB2 will not get more than 25k per year so it will be easily 5 years to clear all backlog for Eb2. Number may go up because of Eb3 - Eb2 porting after one year when they get their labor approved.

Hi Sukhpreet, are you sure the actual petition was filed and denied, or just the labor condition application (LCA) was denied? The LCA is one component of the H-1B petition; it requires a valid FEIN number, and it needs to be certified in order for the H-1B petition to be filed. Most likely, this is what has been denied because the DOL could not find/match the number. The lawyer can just refile the LCA with the appropriate IRS documentation, and it should be certified within a week. The H-1B petition can then be filed with the certified LCA.

Hello ,
I recently changed my visa status from H4 to F1. I received my I-797 yestreday, and noticed that the I-94 attached with the I-797 has my birthdate printed wrong on it. I confirmed with my school, and they told me that there was a mistake in the I-539 application for change of status that I had filed, the birthdate was written wrong there. I also visited the local USCIS office and they told me they do not correct these errors and I need to send an application to the service center (california service center).
Please can anybody advice me as to what form do I have to fill, and how much time will this process take. I have got an oncampus job, in this case can I apply for a SSN with the I-797 with my birthdate mentioned wrong on I-94, my passport and my I-20 has the birthdate right. Also will there be any problem while my application to correct I94 is in process when I apply for my OPT since this is my Final semister in school
Please advice me I am really worried....

Hi!

I need to know when can I fly back to US on my H4 visa(valid till 2011 ).
My husband has joined a new job and his H1 B transfer has been filed .
Do I have to wait for new I 797 or Can I just travel on my old H4 visa and
visa transfer receipt notice .( he is filing the H1 transfer by premium processing ) .
His new employer is suggesting me to reenter on old h4 and before my husband
joins their company .
But for me that will be very soon ( not fulfilling the purpose of my visit ).
Any help is much appreciated.:confused:

To retain the PD, you would need the copy of the I140. Without that, there isn't much that can be done when you switch companies to keep your PD.
