    On 10/01/09, President Obama signed a continuing resolution to fund continued federal government operations through October 31, 2009. Included in the legislation were provisions to extend the E-Verify, Religious Worker, Conrad 30 and EB-5 programs.


    The continuing resolution was attached to the FY10 Legislative Branch Appropriations bill (H.R. 2918), and was passed by the House of Representatives on 9/25/09 and the Senate on 9/30/09.


    The E-Verify, Religious Worker, Conrad 30 and EB-5 programs have all been extended for an additional 30 days, though all they may be extended further in the coming weeks once the Senate and House conference the FY10 Homeland Security Appropriations bill (H.R. 2892).

    Friends,

    LUD on my I-485 (TSC) had not changed for the last two years and I now find a soft LUD of 09/15/2009. Has anyone experienced recent LUDs on their pending I-485?

    I am asking because I am wondering whether USCIS has really 'touched' my file or if this is just a regular 'batch update' that happened to all applications, may be because of the new website migration.

    Appreciate your answers.

    The web being what it is - is there an all inclusive list anywhere for lenses which fit a particular camera body? My particular interest would be for the Maxxum 7D but, I'm sure data like this would be useful for all camera owners.

    Sure, there are sites which review lenses and such but, an all inclusive list would make purchasing decisions more informative.

    Folks, This thread is to track the I 485 approvals. Please mention your PD and RD for I 485 here. Mine is with a priority date of 4/3/2002 and RD of 12/29/2004. Still waiting while many others with a later PD have already got their GCs recently.

    Hi,

    I am renewing advance parole (i-131 form) for me and my wife. Can some one answer what the "class of admission" means on the form and how do we fill it?

    I entered the US as H1-B but moved to EAD status last month.
    My wife entered the US on advance parole and is currently working on EAD.

    Class of Admission is the status you were admitted into US. You entered on h1b and your wife on AP and thats the class of admission :)

    My H1B was refused under section 221(g) (petitioner is not able or willing to provide employment....) and case has reached USCIS for review. The lawyers however are asking me to travel on H4 and then convert to H1 in US and they say this can be done in 2 weeks. I am so very skeptical about this! How is this even possible?
    Their response is that i have an H1B from earlier quota, so i can get a new petition filed and start working on it once its approved.How come people dont do this if its valid?
    My questions if anybody can help me are
    1) Can i go on H4 visa without revoking my H1B petition which is under review with USCIS? Or will consulate ask me to revoke my H1B petition?
    2) If i go on H4, can i really get a COS to H1 in US i.e. not the April 2011 quota but in the already assigned quota and i can start working within a few days of approval?

    My wife couldn't get Xray on a failed TB skin test, because she was pregnant at the time we filed our 485. Our priority date will be current in August.

    Should we wait for a RFE on her medicals? Or is it possible to go ahead and do it, and send an update to USCIS?

    Hello all

    My wife dint work for a while on H1 status,but changed back to H4 after working for 6 months with change of status from H1 to H4 at INS..so currently she is on h4..

    Will there be an issues during adjustment of status thru at 485 stage..will her details be checked in..?

    My wife will be coming back in April 2nd week through Denver. CO POE. Her AP is valid until June 3rd week.

    My question is that is 2 months of AP validity / cushion enough or safe to enter the US.

    Will she get a 1 year I-94 validity from the date of entry or only until her AP expires?

    This question has also been posted in the member forum and I have posted it here to get advice from the eminent lawyers from a legal standpoint.

    Law.com reports that the American Bar Association is being pressured to move a conference in Phoenix scheduled for next week after its co-sponsor for the event, the National Legal Aid & Defender Association, announced it was pulling out of the event.
